Alu-Cab Explorer is a premium aluminum canopy designed specifically for the Ford Ranger Double Cab (2023+). Thanks to its almost all-aluminum construction, it offers an excellent balance of low weight, high strength and outstanding resistance to corrosion and UV rays. That makes it an ideal choice for professional use as well as camping, overlanding, off-road expeditions and everyday work.

The Black / Tread Plate version has a textured aluminum roof (Tread Plate) that provides excellent grip when walking on it and even greater durability under heavy use.

The Explorer model stands out with its wide rear door with panoramic toughened glass, giving excellent rear visibility and the easiest possible access to the load space. Two full-length side doors provide quick access to your gear from either side of the vehicle.

The canopy features two integrated roof C-rails for easy mounting of roof racks, crossbars, awnings, solar panels or a rooftop tent. Thanks to the internal T-slot rails, you can easily fit drawers, cabinets, organizers and various cargo tie-down systems.

The all-aluminum construction allows the roof to carry up to 200 kg dynamic and 400 kg static load, making it suitable for heavy expedition gear and rooftop tents.

It is mounted with purpose-designed brackets to the vehicle’s original load-bed anchor points and requires no drilling, preserving the vehicle’s original structure.

⚠️ Installation

It is mounted with purpose-designed brackets to the vehicle’s original load-bed anchor points and requires no drilling.

All sports bars, tonneau covers or other accessories mounted on the load bed must be removed before installation.

If desired, additional accessories such as side cabinets, tables, organizers, drawers and other storage systems can be fitted.

The interior LED lighting and third brake light are wired separately.

For the strongest possible mounting and to preserve the warranty, it is recommended that the plastic bed liner be removed or modified so the mounting hardware attaches directly to the metal body.

On the Ford Ranger PHEV the plastic bed liner must be removed or slightly trimmed in the left corner to allow access to the canopy mounting point.

⚠️ Important: To preserve the vehicle warranty, Ford International requires the additional “J-Brace” component, which must be installed by an authorized Ford dealer.
